WANA (Feb 27) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry has called for a firm international and Islamic response to Israel’s recent air and ground attacks on southern Syria and the outskirts of Damascus.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei strongly condemned the latest Israeli assaults, warning against the continuation of what he described as Israel’s expansionist and aggressive actions on Syrian soil.

He urged the international community and Islamic nations to take decisive action in condemning these attacks and ensuring an immediate halt to Tel Aviv’s violations.

Baghaei accused Israel of repeatedly violating the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, stating that its actions constitute a clear breach of the UN Charter and international law.

He emphasized that Israel’s occupation of Syrian territory and repeated violations of Syria’s sovereignty amount to an act of aggression, calling on the UN Security Council to take immediate measures to stop Israeli transgressions and prevent further threats to international peace and security.
